Advice Column
We’ve been talking about neighboring for the last month and a half, so when I saw a headline in the paper this week that said: “Neighbor Needs to Take Responsibility for being Un-neighborly” it got my attention. It comes from the advice columnist Carolyn Hax:

The Worst Job Ever
When Beth and I were still in college, she needed a part-time job. She didn’t have a car, so she needed something within walking distance of campus. She was a full-time student, so she needed something in the evenings that didn’t interfere with her classes. Stay, Pray, Play, and Say
Brian Mavis is a pastor from Colorado and one of the authors of the study we are currently using: The Neighboring Life. He tells a story about his desire to be a better dad. He says that he decided he needed a plan, and because he is a preacher, he decided to come up with words that rhyme in order to help him follow through.
